While Democrats stake their hopes on abortion, Republicans are clobbering them on two critical issues

Democrats have gone all in on abortion and are hoping voters won’t care about anything else.

With less than a month before the election and the polls begin to tighten, we’ll soon see if their gamble pays off.

But while Democrats stake their hopes on abortion, Republicans are clobbering them on two critical issues.

Democrats getting crushed on crime and inflation

Recent polls from both Monmouth University and NPR/Marist have shown that both inflation and crime are on the top of the mind of voters as we draw closer to the November 8 election.

On both crime and inflation, polling is showing that voters are trusting Republicans more than Democrats on these issues and it isn’t even close.

Of course, this isn’t surprising since Democrats have spent the last two years being the “Defund the Police” party and the party of endless and reckless spending, which has sent our nation into a tailspin when it comes to controlling inflation, if that is even possible at this point.

Violent crime is on the rise as Democrat-run cities gut their police departments and champion pro-crime policies.

Violent felons are being released early and then, not surprisingly, end up committing heinous crimes almost immediately.

Drug use is prolific, property crime is not prosecuted, and criminals go free.

That is the Democrat Party’s vision of America in 2022.

Oh, and the government is going to pay for everything, from abortions to needles for drug addicts, with money printed out of thin air all while prices for basic commodities go through the roof.

Abortion is a wild card

It cannot be understated how much of a political wild card abortion has become in the 2022 election cycle.

The overturning of Roe v. Wade was monumental and is certain to leave a lasting effect on the American political environment.

But will voters be more concerned with preserving so-called “abortion rights” over kitchen table issues such as crime and inflation?

Will they reward Democrats and their radical socialist vision for America where a fully-formed baby could be murdered via abortion on the mother’s due date?

Democrats like Beto O’Rourke and Gretchen Whitmer are certainly hoping so, since neither of them can seemingly stop talking about how they are “fighting like hell” for abortion.

But it really goes to show that Democrats realize that they are in trouble and are betting on the single issue of abortion to save their collective bacon from being fried in November.

Abortion a third rail in American politics?

Democrats are hoping that Republicans overplayed their hand with the Dobbs decision that sent abortion back to the states.

Polling over the summer certainly showed a post Dobbs bump for Democrats, but that early advantage now seems to be fading.

Still, the question remains, will it be enough?

Has America become so morally bankrupt as a nation that is it is more concerned with keeping abortion-on-demand legal in all 50 states over fighting crime and containing inflation?

Will Republicans actually fight and call out Democrats for their radical views on abortion, which poll after poll shows them out-of-touch with average voters, or will the shy away from the issue as is all too common for the GOP?

Time will soon tell as the November Midterms are rapidly approaching.
