Every day it seems another Democrat comes out against the very Constitution they are sworn to serve and protect.
And if not them, then certainly the radical activists behind them talk of shredding the Constitution.
Now the wife of this top Democrat just ripped the Constitution and Declaration of Independence with these four words.
The Constitution and Declaration of Independence used to be cherished.
In fact, for decades it didn’t matter what party you belonged to, you still worked to uphold those sacred documents.
Our founding documents no longer considered worthy
But these days that is no longer true.
Radical socialists, Antifa terrorists, BLM thugs, along with Democrat politicians, teachers, and Marxist Critical Race Theorists have decided the Constitution and Declaration of Independence are not worthy of defending.
In fact, these radical activists want nothing less than the destruction of history, and the destruction of America’s founding documents.
They are taking every opportunity to shred the Constitution, ignore or ridicule the Declaration of Independence, and decry the Founding Fathers as evil.
And this attack on our nation is coming from within, and coming from many who are in positions of power.
One of these is Anne Holton, the daughter of Virginia Governor Linwood Holton, and the wife of U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA).
“Fundamental in enshrining slavery”
Recently, Ms. Holton denounced the Declaration of Independence and Constitution as “fundamental in enshrining slavery.”
Holton made her comments as Virginia’s Board of Education approved, by 5-3 vote new history standards.
The Senator’s wife sits on the Virginia Board of Education and of course was one of the three no votes on the new standards.
“To an audience as inclusive as our Virginia is, you cannot reference the Declaration of Independence and the Constitution as ‘remarkable documents’ without also acknowledging that they [are] fundamental in enshrining slavery and limiting the protections that they provided only to white property-owning men,” she said.
But the new history standards were written at least in part to correct leftist disinformation, revisionist history, and anti-American propaganda injected into the Commonwealth’s current history curriculum through the use of critical race theory.
A recent Richmond Times-Dispatch piece written by Jillian Balow, the Virginia superintendent of public instruction and executive officer of the Virginia Board of Education, argues the new standards reinvigorate history and civics as foundational to both the American and Virginian identity.

“American history and the tenets of our founding documents are not trivia to be Googled when needed and then quickly forgotten,” Balow wrote.
She continued, “There is an increased emphasis on civics, beginning in the early elementary grades. As students advance, they learn about the vision of our Founding Fathers and its relevance today. George Washington is again ‘The Father of Our Country’ and James Madison is again ‘The Father of the Constitution.’”
Virginia is, of course, the home state of such great leaders as Washington, Madison, Thomas Jefferson, James Monroe, Robert E. Lee, Patrick Henry, and a slew of others.
The recent attempts to rewrite, or erase, Virginia’s history are a big reason Republican Glenn Youngkin became Governor and the GOP took back the House.
Now let’s see if the Republicans continue to fix the problems and restore learning to the schools.
