And Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is trying to clean up this scary Joe Biden failure.
Florida launches new Strike Team to combat human trafficking
President Joe Biden’s disastrous decision to leave the southern border wide open has resulted in nearly 10 million illegal aliens entering the country.
And this has been a jackpot for the human trafficking industry.
Illegal aliens are often working with human smugglers on both sides of the border to get to their final destination.
But countless women and children are being trafficked while trying to make this dangerous journey.
Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody is ready to go to war against the international human trafficking rings that are “exploiting Biden’s open border to bring trafficking victims” into the Sunshine State.
She announced the creation of the Florida Human Trafficking Strike Team.
“Until Biden does his job and closes the border, we must continue to develop new methods to deal with international crime rings that exploit Biden’s reckless agenda to perpetuate crime in Florida,” Moody said.
The Strike Team consists of members of the Florida Attorney General’s Office, Hillsborough and Pasco County Sheriff’s deputies, Florida Department of Law Enforcement officials, and counter-human trafficking experts.
Moody’s goal is to have the Strike Team assist local enforcement with human trafficking investigations.
“Human trafficking is a challenge for every state,” Moody stated. “Because, under this President, we have absolutely no enforcement at the southwest border. People are giving money to transnational criminal organizations to bring them straight into this country, and then they find themselves at the mercy of the same organization.”
Moody explained that there were so many people entering the country under Biden that states are being forced to step up and take action against human trafficking.
Florida makes a disturbing human trafficking bust
The Strike Team has already made an impact by assisting in an investigation that resulted in 10 women being freed from a sex trafficking operation in the Tampa area.
Florida authorities arrested a woman who was traveling to Colombia and Venezuela to lure women to America with the promise of a good-paying job in the United States.
The women then had their identification stolen and were held against their will in the Tampa area.
10 women were rescued as part of the investigation.
“Biden’s border crisis is emboldening transnational criminal organizations, and as a result, we are seeing horrific human trafficking cases right here in Florida,” Moody explained. “The disturbing facts of this case highlight the need for our new statewide Strike Team and demonstrate how this expert team of investigators, prosecutors, analysts, and victims’ advocates can help coordinate efforts to take down trafficking operations and rescue victims.”
Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said it was about saving people’s lives.
“We’re talking about human lives. If someone was drowning, we’d go out and save them. These are people who are lost out at sea, in hell, living in captivity. We are going to rescue them,” Nocco said.
Florida is fighting back against the nightmare that Joe Biden’s open border has created.
