It’s rare for Democrats or their media allies to openly acknowledge reality.

They’d much rather keep pretending that their propaganda narratives are not total nonsense.

But CNN’s political data expert just made an inconceivable admission about Donald Trump’s historic performance.

It’s becoming impossible to ignore

During a recent polling segment on CNN’s News Central, host John Berman asked CNN political data analyst Harry Enten, “where does the race stand among African-American voters right now?”

Enten was forced to concede that former President Donald Trump is well on his way to having what would be a “historic performance” for a Republican nominee with black voters.

“I keep looking for this to change, to go back to a historical norm and it, simply put, has not yet,” Enten explained, “In 2020, Joe Biden was getting 86% of the African-American vote. Look at where it is now. It’s 70%, that’s a 16-point drop, John. And more than that, it’s not just that Joe Biden is losing ground, it’s that Donald Trump is gaining ground. You go from 7%, single digits at this point in 2020, to now 21%.”

“And again, John, I keep looking for signs that this is going to go back to normal,” he added. “And I don’t see it yet in the polling of anything. Right now, we’re careening towards a historic performance for a Republican Presidential candidate, the likes of which we have not seen in six decades.”

The data analyst went on to reveal that Trump’s gains with black voters – and Biden’s subsequent decline – have been across age groups and other demographics.

Enten pointed out that while President Biden led with black voters over the age of 50-years-old by around 83-points at this point in the 2020 election, that lead has now shrunk by nine points.

“Look at black voters aged 50 and older and you’ll see, look, Joe Biden was leading amongst this group at this point by 83 points back in 2020,” Enten noted. “Now, it’s 74 points. So yeah, a slight decline in that margin, but nothing out of this world.”

However, when it comes to black voters under the age of 50, it appears as though a historic and game-changing shift is already well underway.

“Look at black voters under the age of 50 – Holy cow, folks, Holy cow,” Enten panicked. “Look at this, Joe Biden was up by 80 points among this group back at this point in 2020. Look at where that margin has careened down towards, it’s now just — get this — 37 points. That lead has dropped by more than half, Mr. Berman.”

“A historic moment”

Enten admitted that in all his years as a political data analyst, he’s “just never seen anything like this.”

“I’m, like, speechless because you always look at history and you go, ‘OK, this is a historic moment,’” the CNN analyst said. “If this polling is anywhere near correct, we are looking at a historic moment right now where black voters under the age of 50, which have historically been such a big part of the Democratic coalition, are leaving in droves.”

Of course, as Americans have seen time and time again, it would be absolutely nothing new for every poll that shows Trump leading Biden to be way off and for the exact opposite to transpire.

After all, that’s literally what happened in 2016, as every poll showed Hillary Clinton cruising to victory before it ended up being a rather easy win for Trump.

But there does appear to be a shift taking place amongst not only black Americans, but also amongst Americans from all walks of life.

Whether or not that actually translates into lasting change remains to be seen.
