We are losing legends in music at an alarming rate.

But now it looks like we may lose one of the best singers and songwriters in American history.

And Willie Nelson may have puffed his last smoke after this shocking news just dropped about him.

Father Time waits for no one

People may not want to admit it, but the older you get, the higher chance you have of dying.

And once someone gets past 70 years old, it isn’t shocking to hear that they are no longer with us.

Now this may be a reality that some refuse to accept.

Just look at how some of the older generations refuse to settle down and plan for the end of their lives.

That’s why we have an 81-year old President and both Senate leaders are over the age of 70.

They refuse to step aside and let the younger generations take charge and manage our nation.

But some of the old guns are better at their trade than those coming behind them.

The music industry is a perfect example.

No musicians have ever lived up to the same levels of talent that we were blessed with from the 1960s through the 1970s.

Some of the biggest names in the music industry made their mark during this golden era of music.

If you think of a top musical talent, they probably got their name to fame during the 1960s and 70s.

But these giants in the music industry are getting older by the day. We have recently lost some of these icons.

Within the last twelve months, we have lost countless icons in music like Tony Bennett, Toby Keith, and Jimmy Buffett.

Is Willie Nelson next?

But now it looks like we are on the verge of losing another musical icon as the news surrounding Willie Nelson isn’t good.

No one in music has had a career like Willie Nelson.

Shotgun Willie has had numerous hits in his over 70-plus albums.

The past 60 years have been good for the country music legend.

But now it looks like father time is catching up to Willie Nelson, as he is approaching the old age of 92.

Even though Willie isn’t buying green bananas anymore, the legend is still touring.

And right now he is in the middle of his Outlaw Music Festival Tour.

But fans were shocked to learn that the legend had to cancel his appearance at a stop in Alpharetta, Georgia.

“We regret to inform you that Willie Nelson is not feeling well and, per doctor’s orders, has been advised to rest for the next four days,” a message on Willie Nelson’s social media platforms read. “In the meantime, Lukas Nelson and the Family Band [Willie’s son] along with some surprise guests will perform special sets to include Willie’s classics and other songs.”

Hopefully Willie isn’t the next musician to go, and one can only hope he recovers for his next show.
