The New York Times reported that Tesla founder and X owner Elon Musk, along with other wealthy Republican donors, met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate in Florida.
The outlet claimed that Trump was looking to raise money for his showdown with Biden in what’s expected to be a knock-down, drag-out fight.
Trump and Musk have had an up-and-down relationship over the years.
The Tesla founder joined several advisory councils the former President set up after he was first elected in 2016.
But he left them after Trump pulled out of the Paris Climate Change agreement.
After the meeting became public, Musk denied on X that he would donate to either Presidential candidate.
Of course, that decision might not be final.

Musk said he voted Democrat for most of his life, but admitted that he has undergone a dramatic political shift during the Biden Presidency.
He claimed that he was voting for Republicans in the 2022 Midterm elections for the first time and indicated that he would support Florida Governor Ron DeSantis if he had won the Republican Presidential nomination.
Musk said that he purchased Twitter, now known as X, to protect free speech.
On X, he’s become an outspoken critic of the woke ideology and Biden’s policies.
He’s slammed Biden for creating the border crisis and rolling out the red carpet for illegal aliens.
Musk is opposed to Biden
The Biden administration has been engaged in a long-running conflict with Musk.
Tesla – which is proudly non-union – has been excluded from many of the tax credits and handouts to the electric vehicle industry signed into law by Biden.
Biden’s electric vehicle agenda favors unionized automakers after the United Auto Workers (UAW) union spent big to deliver Rust Belt states like Michigan that put him in the White House.
The President threatened to have him investigated after he purchased Twitter.
The New York Times source said that Musk wants Biden to lose re-election.
