Lawmakers in Idaho are fighting back against left-wing radicals targeting children in their state

The war against our children in government schools has reached a climax in recent years.

But sometimes people forget that school teachers are also being targeted.

And lawmakers in Idaho are fighting back against left-wing radicals targeting children in their state.

ACLU: U.S. Constitution forces teachers to use preferred pronouns of students

Over the past few years, parents have been concerned about the outsized influence that school teachers have on their children.

People have watched as activist teachers go viral on social media by showing their efforts to push this insane ideology on students in their classrooms.

But not all teachers are radicals, and some of them have been forced to fall in line or risk losing their jobs.

In February, lawmakers in Idaho announced that they were taking action to stop this from happening.

Of course, the ACLU of Idaho immediately went on the attack.

“While people may hold a variety of beliefs about transgender people, the First Amendment does not grant school officials a free speech right to refuse to address transgender students by the pronouns consistent with their gender identity,” the ACLU wrote in a statement.

Now conservative lawmakers are moving ahead with legislation that will change everything.

Idaho teachers “feel pressure” to go against their conscious in the classroom

Idaho Governor Brad Little signed HB538 into law earlier this month.

HB538 protects teachers from being forced to go against their conscience.

The law will go into effect on July 1 and will allow for teachers to “sue their district if they’re disciplined for refusing to use a transgender student’s preferred name or pronoun.”

President of the Idaho Family Policy Center, Blaine Conzatti, championed the new law by saying teachers shouldn’t have to “fear” standing up for their beliefs.

“Even in school districts with no written compelled pronoun policy, educators feel pressure from administrators, parents, and students to use preferred pronouns,” he said.

The new law will take it a step further and place a ban on the use of “a name or pronoun that doesn’t align with their birth sex, unless the teacher has parental consent.”

Idaho Representative Ted Hill said this was the “battle line” that legislators had to draw.

Democrats cry “discrimination” and vow to fight back in court

Democrats in the Idaho legislature were outraged by the passing of the bill and called it a form of “discrimination.”

“We expect our publicly funded employees to adhere to a certain standard of respect and decency, and we expect them to refrain from being unkind, uncivil, or discriminatory whether it’s to the public or to their coworkers,” Democrat Lauren Necochea said.

The ACLU is also speaking out by saying that they believe the law will permit educators to “persistently and intentionally misgender” kids at school.

Democrats in Idaho have been on the defensive since last year when Governor Little banned the use of puberty blockers and sex change surgeries on children.

The passage of this bill isn’t the end of the fight against these radicals, as they have promised to appeal the law in court.

The ACLU believes that the bill “likely violates constitutional and statutory protections” and plans to take it all the way to the U.S. Supreme Court.
