It seems like yesterday when the Kansas City Chiefs won the Super Bowl and officially put an end to the 2023 NFL season.

Without skipping a beat, all 32 teams have set their focus on this upcoming season, with some teams making drastic changes to their rosters.

And one NFL legend just shocked the football world with this major free-agency move.

The 2024 NFL season is off to a hot start

Although the 2023 NFL season ended just a few weeks ago, all 32 NFL teams have started preparing for 2024.

Free agency officially began on Wednesday, but some teams have already started making arrangements with free agents across the league.

However, one of the most impactful moves came from the Philadelphia Eagles.

The Eagles acquired running back Saquon Barkley from one of their rivals, the New York Giants.

Over the last several years, Barkley has emerged as one of the best running backs in the NFL, making him a highly valued target this free agency.

However, without much help from his offensive line, Barkley has failed to put up decent numbers in recent years.

Although Eagles fans are thrilled with the new acquisition, Giants fans are furious that their beloved running back would betray them.

Among these angry Giants fans is none other than NFL legend Tiki Barber, who played as a running back for the New York Giants from 1997-2006.

While appearing on New York’s WFAN 660 AM sports radio, Tiki Barber responded to Saquon Barkley’s move by saying that “you’re dead to me” and “you’re dead to us.”

Soon after, Saquon Barkley responded to his remarks on X.

“@TikiBarber lol yup you’re the prime example of loyalty to a team.. I got the deal I wanted, secured more gm which wasn’t given to me before… so if fans are gonna hate me for that so be it! But I never turned my back on my teammates and always had theirs,” he wrote.

This back-and-forth reveals the vicious rivalry that exists between the New York Giants and the Philadelphia Eagles.

Saquon Barkley’s move to the Eagles is a betrayal that Giants fans will not forget.

The NFL already looks different than it did just a few weeks ago

In the last week alone, the NFL has completely transformed, with big-name players being sent all around the league.

For example, Minnesota Vikings Quarterback Kirk Cousins went to the Atlanta Falcons and Cincinnati Bengals running back Joe Mixon went to the Houston Texans.

Only time will tell whether or not any of these trades and acquisitions pay off.

However, teams like the Dallas Cowboys have remained noticeably silent during free agency, leading to speculation that they are waiting for the NFL draft to make changes.
