Fans have been growing more and more frustrated by the increasing number of NBA players who are demanding that they be thrown out of arenas for saying things they don’t like.

But no one expected this.

And this basketball superstar’s brothers decided to take the NBA’s sensitivity problem to a whole new level by assaulting a fan in the stands.

Police on the hunt

Denver Nuggets forward and two-time NBA MVP Nikola Jokić helped lead his team to a 101-99 come-from-behind victory over LeBron James and the Los Angeles Lakers in game two of the first round of the playoffs.

But while Jokić, who is arguably the best basketball player in the world, put on a show by scoring 27 points, pulling down 20 rebounds, and dishing out 10 assists, he wasn’t the only Jokić making headlines inside Denver’s Ball Arena.

In fact, it was Nikola Jokić’s giant brothers, Strahinja and Nemanja, who were the buzz of social media following the Nuggets’ win.

According to a viral video as well as a report from TMZ, Strahinja and Nemanja, who reportedly stand at over six-foot, eleven inches and six-foot, eight inches respectively, decided to celebrate their brother’s victory by climbing over rows of seats inside the arena to chase down and punch an alleged Lakers fan immediately following the conclusion of game two.

Nikola Jokić’s wife, Natalija, can be seen in the video attempting to stop them from committing an assault while holding her one-year-old daughter.

But while the video and eyewitness accounts clearly indicate the two should be held accountable for their actions, TMZ reported that the Denver Police are “actively trying to track down the man” who they chased and attacked.

Furthermore, while the NBA has thrown out and banned fans from arenas for simply hurting players’ feelings, the league has yet to act and told TMZ that they’re merely investigating the incident.

The NBA has a problem on its hands

It seems like the video and eyewitness accounts compiled by TMZ would be more than enough evidence to hold the two accountable for their actions.

Besides, it’s not like the giant Jokić brothers haven’t already proven to be menaces to society numerous times at NBA arenas.

Following a 2021 on-court altercation between Nikola and then Miami Heat forward Markeff Morris, the Jokić brothers proceeded to issue a threat from their shared account.

“You should leave this the way it is instead of publicly threatening our brother!” the Jokićs wrote in a now-deleted post. “Your brother made a dirty play first . If you want to make a step further be sure we will be waiting for you!!”

After Nikola committed an intentional flagrant foul on Suns’ star Devin Booker that was so egregious he was ejected from the game and nearly caused a mele to break out on-court, the Jokic brothers attempted to rush the court and threatened the Suns’ players.

There’s also the fact that Strahinja was previously arrested on felony second-degree assault charges in 2019 for allegedly choking and pushing a woman.

He ultimately pleaded guilty to lesser misdemeanor charges for obstruction of phone service and felony trespassing in order to have the assault charges dropped.

Needless to say, the NBA has had a problem on its hands with the Jokić brothers for a long time.

And it’s beyond time someone actually holds them accountable for their actions.
