College football is in the middle of an evolution that it may not survive.

But leave it to famous rapper Snoop Dogg to make the most of an awful situation.

And Snoop Dogg just shocked the college football world by announcing what he plans on distributing to players.

NIL is changing college football

One of the best parts about fall is the resurgence of college football.

Few things will get the heart pounding like the roar of fans after their football team pulls off an upset against an in-state rival.

College football provides us with the opportunity to experience the unmatched atmosphere of game day for twelve weeks in a row.

But as we are witnessing right now, the college football landscape is shifting drastically.

The transfer portal is complete madness, as nearly every starter in college football will end up at a different school than where they started.

And now teams are faced with the reality that they have to figure out how to navigate the NIL era.

The NIL era is a unique issue that no team or coach has completely figured out.

These teams and coaches are having to adjust and improvise in the NIL landscape in order to get an advantage over another program.

As a result, players are getting uber rich from teams who try to win them over with flashy items and stacks of money.

Some of the teams with big donors have even given out new cars and trucks to all members of the team in order to win their allegiance to the program.

But throwing money at a problem just makes the problem more dependent on money.

And one of the biggest problems college football has faced with having players only focused on money is the fact that they are now skipping bowl games in order to avoid an injury that may affect their chances in the draft or in transferring to a more financially lucrative program.

Leave it to Snoop Dogg to come up with a solution.

Snoop Dogg is solving college football’s problems

Snoop Dogg will have his own bowl game this year called the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl.

He went on social media this week to announce a new program to give money to players who show up for his bowl game.

Snoop Dogg proudly stated in a video on social media that “[a]dding NIL opportunities for the student-athletes of the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl is the next evolution in college sports, and we wanted to lead by example.”

Kym Adair, the Executive Director of the Snoop Dogg Arizona Bowl, added that the novel idea of throwing money at the problem was Snoop Dogg’s idea.

She told the press that “when Snoop approached us with this idea, it was obvious that he has a deep respect and appreciation for the new opportunities afforded to Student-Athletes through NIL, and he wanted to show support for them by being the first Bowl to make this type of commitment.”

It will be interesting to see if Snoop Dogg’s bowl game will solve the absences.

But no matter what happens, kudos to Snoop for trying to come up with a solution.
