Mike Johnson went down in flames after seeing this damning video

House Speaker Mike Johnson is clinging to power by his fingernails.

Just like past Republican Speakers John Boehner, Kevin McCarthy, and Paul Ryan, Johnson turned out to be another creature of the Swamp.

And now Mike Johnson went down in flames after seeing this damning video.

Conservatives pan Johnson sellout on Ukraine

After weeks of hemming and hawing, Johnson finally committed to ramming Joe Biden’s $95 billion foreign aid slush fund through Congress.

Since Johnson became Speaker, he has operated at Biden’s beck and call.

Johnson passed a bill to allow Biden to illegally spy on Donald Trump and his voters without obtaining a warrant.

Johnson signed off on a $1.2 trillion spending bill that granted every item on Biden’s wishlist.

Now Johnson came through for Biden again by sending more money overseas – including $61 billion to Ukraine – without doing anything to secure the border at home.

CNN’s Jake Tapper played a video montage of conservatives blasting Johnson’s latest capitulation to Joe Biden.

“It’s surrender,” Congressman Matt Gaetz (R-FL) declared. “It’s disappointing. I won’t support it.”

“It’s disappointing,” Representative Eli Crane (R-AZ) told reporters. “It’s completely detached from what our base wants, what our voters want.”

Congressman Troy Nehls (R-TX) mocked the bill by saying “go ahead, move it,” before adding that “I’m voting no. I’ve never voted to give any money to Ukraine and I’m not gonna do it today.”

The most ominous words came from Congresswoman Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA) after she introduced a motion to vacate the chair and fire Johnson as Speaker.

“I don’t know how long people are going to tolerate this because he’s doing nothing but serving the Democrats,” Greene warned.

Johnson’s weak response

Tapper then asked Johnson if – as with the $1.2 trillion spending bill and the legislation to allow Biden to illegally spy on Americans – he would count on the votes of Democrats to move another Joe Biden policy through the House.

Johnson deployed the same language RINOs like Mitt Romney, Liz Cheney, and Mitch McConell have used when discussing foreign policy by saying that they are from the past versions of the GOP who act at the behest of the globalists and disavowing Donald Trump’s America First foreign policy.

“Well, I hope not,” the Speaker replied. “I hope that our Republican colleagues stand together, stick together on this. I think we understand – look, I’m a child of the 80s. I regard myself as a Reagan Republican. I understand the concept of maintaining peace through strength. That’s one of our guiding principles. That’s a really important philosophy and it’s a big part of our Party and our worldview. And I think here is an opportunity to make that stand at a really critical time in world history,” Johnson stated.

Johnson’s laughable argument

Johnson then claimed that Republicans couldn’t get everything they wanted since they only controlled the House.

“We’re not going to get 100% of what we want right now because we have the smallest majority in history,” he said. “And we only have the majority in one chamber – that Republicans run the House. We have a small majority in the House. The Democrats are in charge of the Senate and the White House. So by definition, we won’t get everything we want,” Johnson concluded.

Conservatives understand this, but what they are wondering is why they can’t get anything.

Johnson cast the tie breaking vote to defeat an amendment requiring Biden to go to court for a warrant before spying on Americans.

Johnson never tried to attach real border security to the Ukraine funding like he promised.

Johnson keeps needing Democrat votes to pass legislation because he is only willing to put Democrat legislation on the floor of the House.

And this unwillingness to fight for conservative priorities may ultimately cost Johnson the Speakership.
