Alejandro Mayorkas is in the hot seat after his impeachment.

He’s discovering just how few friends he really has in the federal government.

And Alejandro Mayorkas was shocked when his own officials gave him this brutal message.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas became the first cabinet secretary to be impeached in almost 150 years for his role in the border crisis.

He is the architect of President Joe Biden’s open borders agenda that has seen illegal immigration shatter every record on the books.

The articles of impeachment charged Mayorkas with “willful and systemic refusal to comply with the law” and “breach of the public trust” due to his mishandling of the southern border.

Members of Homeland Security told the Daily Caller News Foundation that they supported Mayorkas being impeached.

Seven Border Patrol agents and two Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officials didn’t pull any punches in expressing their displeasure with the embattled Homeland Security Secretary.

“We have laws in place that are not being enforced due to Mayorkas’ leadership,” an anonymous ICE official said. “If agents and officers were authorized to enforce the laws enacted by Congress this influx would not have occurred, but instead he pushes for agents and officers to process and release individuals as quickly as possible. Individuals are released into the United States with minimal background checks and minimal follow up.”

Border Patrol agents have been pulled off border security to help process and care for the record number of illegal aliens flooding into the country.

“This most likely won’t change anything, but it is a symbolic win and one heck of a statement to make in an Election Year,” a Border Patrol agent told the Daily Caller News Foundation.

Mayorkas heads to the Senate for a trial where he has virtually no chance of being convicted.

“Mayorkas was a total dumpster fire who never owned up to the crisis he created with his disastrous policies. But I don’t think the Senate is gonna remove him, which sucks,” another Border Patrol agent said.

A third Border Patrol agent said it was embarrassing that it took nearly 10 million illegal aliens invading the country before Mayorkas was held accountable.

According to some Homeland Security officials, the impeachment won’t change the catastrophe unfolding at the southern border.

“Impeaching the Secretary will not disrupt the administration’s goal of allowing millions of illegal aliens into the country. As long as this administration remains in place, the chaos at the border will continue. Policy changes need to be implemented immediately,” a Border Patrol agent said.

An ICE official said that the House waited too long to impeach Mayorkas.

“Too little, too late honestly,” a second ICE official said. “Should have been done three years ago if they truly wanted to change […] the border situation. And why wasn’t Kamala being impeached as well since she was considered and appointed the ‘Border Czar’ by the President? It’s just a political stunt to show the Republicans are tough on the border after they voted to pass the terrible border security bill.”

The border won’t be secure until Joe Biden is out of the White House.
