Donald Trump just made one announcement about a dark-blue state that left Democrats stunned

Former President Donald Trump is anything but a typical politician.

While most politicians live by the adage of “first do no harm,” Trump has shown a fondness for taking risks and chances.

And Donald Trump just made one announcement about a dark-blue state that left Democrats stunned.

Trump’s history of proving the pundits wrong

Most of the paid political pundits in the corporate-controlled media didn’t see Donald Trump’s 2016 victory coming.

They didn’t think Trump could win in the rustbelt and upper-Midwest – areas where establishment GOP candidates like John McCain and Mitt Romney struggled in previous Presidential elections.

However, it was the old-guard Republican Party’s tax cuts and corporatism that didn’t resonate in states like Pennsylvania and Wisconsin.

Furthermore, there were legions of hard-working, non-college educated white voters who the old GOP and the Democrats ignored.

They also didn’t expect Trump – who the corporate-controlled media had falsely labeled a racist – to do well with Hispanic voters.

But he did.

Trump turned the once-Democrat voting bloc of Hispanic voters into a near-swing vote.

It turns out that many Hispanic voters are fans of socially conservative values, law and order, and border security.

In the process, Trump defeated Hillary Clinton in an electoral landslide.

Heading into his 2024 rematch against Joe Biden, Trump wants to once again win in a place where no one thinks he can.

Harlem gives Donald Trump a hero’s welcome

First Lady Jill Biden – who demands you call her “doctor” even though she doesn’t practice medicine – can’t even pronounce the word “bodega.”

But Trump just received a rousing ovation when delivering remarks at one bodega.

And it was a bodega in Harlem, New York, of all places.

Harlem children lined up to tell Trump how much they loved him.

Meanwhile, their parents were just as happy to see Trump and made it clear that they wanted to see a lot more of him.

A chant of “four more years” erupted from the crowd.

There were even reports of the gathering breaking out into a rendition of the National Anthem

Trump was honored by the response and decided to make a bold announcement.

Trump: “We’re making a big play for New York”

Trump believes New Yorkers are fed up with Democrat policies that have led to record-breaking crime rates and the border crisis finding its way to the Big Apple.

For those reasons, Trump announced that he’s going to try and win the Empire State this coming November.

“We’re making a big play for New York,” Trump said. “I love this city, and it’s gotten so bad in the last three years, four years, and we’re going to straighten New York out.”

With Gotham literally in a State of Emergency due to its status as a so-called “sanctuary city” and out-of-control crime, Trump may have a shot at winning the state’s 28 electoral votes.

Afterall, then-Congressman Lee Zeldin used that same blueprint to come surprisingly close to unseating incumbent Democrat Governor Kathy Hochul in the 2022 Midterms.

Chuck Schumer’s U.S. Senate re-election also turned out to be closer than races that were expected to be competitive such as Colorado, Washington, and Connecticut.

However, when it comes to Presidential politics, New York is so blue that one has to question whether spending time and money there is a smart campaign move.

But then again, Donald Trump is a risk taker.
