Pennsylvania’s newest U.S. Senator has been full of surprises since he assumed office.
Some of his more recent ones have seriously irked radical Democrats and they’ve handled it about as well as the rest of the nation has come to expect.
Now John Fetterman’s wife just pulled a disappearing act in the wake of his beef with the Left.
Freshman Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) was a darling of far-Left Democrats until he committed a cardinal sin in leftist politics by not marching in 100% lockstep with the rigid ideologues.
He quickly found out the hard way how, among this group of people, no dissent is allowed.
Fetterman’s lack of support for Palestine and his belief that a country should have a border were a bridge too far for the Left.
The bad blood between Fetterman and the more radical elements of his political Party became more pronounced in December when he publicly distanced himself from them.
Fetterman: “I’m not a progressive”
In an interview on NBC News, Fetterman said that “I’m not a progressive. I just think I’m a Democrat that is very committed to choice and other things. But with Israel, I’m going to be on the right side of that. And immigration is something near and dear to me, and I think we do have to effectively address it as well.”
Fetterman backed up his words with actions.
When radical leftists protested against Fetterman, he was defiant and voiced his disagreement with them and some of his Democrat colleagues in Congress.

In response to demonstrations, Fetterman held up Israel’s flag and mocked the demonstrators.
But, of course, the leftists weren’t content to simply chastise Fetterman.
They went after his wife as well.
Fetterman’s wife, Gisele, had apparently deleted her accounts on Twitter and Instagram and had not posted publicly on her Facebook account since December.
According to a friend, Gisele’s social media absence was because of bullying she has received online as a consequence of her husband’s political positions.

Ashlyn Brierre Preaux, a left-wing activist with over 45,000 Instagram followers, posted on Dec. 20, 2023, “Gisele Fetterman (can’t tag her because some of y’all bullied her so much she had to take a social media break) — she is not her husband so please be gentle with your critiques.”

After her absence generated controversy, Gisele briefly reappeared and said that “I posted several months ago that I would be taking a break from social media. I was bored with it … I am a Pisces ♓️ … it wasn’t adding anything to my life .. but leaving social media is somehow more exhausting than having it?!”
Gisele’s lack of a presence on social media has been notable because it represents a big change from the outsized role she played in her husband’s successful 2022 Senate campaign.
This situation with the Fetterman family is just the latest example of Democrats eating their own.
Polling has consistently shown an uptick in African American support for Donald Trump, particularly among men, over cultural issues like immigration and transgender policies.
If Democrats lose in November by alienating large swaths of the country, then they’ll have no one to blame but themselves.
