Trump brought the crowd at the National Religious Broadcasters International Christian Media Convention in Nashville to their feet with a speech warning them that fascist regimes throughout history have attempted to stamp out Christianity.
“Remember, every communist regime throughout history has tried to stamp out the churches, just like every fascist regime has tried to co-opt them and control them. And, in America, the radical Left is trying to do both,” Trump declared.
“They want to tear down crosses where they can, and cover them up with social justice flags,” Trump continued. “But no one will be touching the cross of Christ under the Trump administration, I swear to you.”
Trump said the real reason Democrat prosecutors like Alvin Bragg filed criminal charges against him was to intimidate Christians and other conservatives from following the faith of their convictions and opposing the radical Left.
“The Left is trying to SHAME Christians, to silence you, demoralize you, and keep you out of politics. But Christians cannot afford to sit on the sidelines in this fight. The corrupt persecution by this regime will NOT stop with me—their chains are already tightening around you,” Trump continued.
Trump has been warning his supporters that Democrats are really coming after them and that he is just in the way.
