Democrat lawmakers have pumped billions of taxpayer dollars into fighting back against what they call the impending “climate crisis.”

Forcing electric vehicles down the throats of American consumers has become an integral part of many of these action plans.

But Joe Biden was at wits’ end after this electric vehicle push faced major hurdles.

Many Americans remain skeptical of electric vehicles despite the Left’s best efforts

For over 100 years, millions of Americans have relied on gas-powered automobiles to get them where they need to go.

However, in an attempt to save the world from what they deem as a “climate crisis,” many on the Left have developed an obsession with electric vehicles, which they believe can help to solve the alleged crisis.

Of course, buying a $60,000 electric vehicle makes complete sense for many left-wing elites.

However, due to the high price tag and recharging communication that comes with electric vehicles, many Americans have chosen to stick with their trusty gas-powered cars.

Additionally, many parts of America do not have the infrastructure to support a massive switch to electric vehicles, which would require the establishment of thousands of charging stations, among other changes.

For this reason, President Joe Biden has demanded that half a million electric vehicle charging ports be built across the nation to support an electric vehicle revolution.

But many cash-strapped states are not so thrilled about this request.

Last Thursday, the AP shined a spotlight on this issue by reporting that “as part of the national charging station rollout, the Biden administration awarded $623 million in grants to states, local governments, and tribes in January. The grants will fund 47 EV charging stations and related projects in 22 states and Puerto Rico, including 7,500 charging ports.”

“But even some of the government’s own experts say 500,000 public chargers won’t be enough to meet Biden’s ambitious climate goals,” the report added. “The Department of Energy’s National Renewable Energy Laboratory estimated last year that the U.S. will need 1.2 million public chargers by 2030, a huge jump from the 175,00 public charging ports now available, as measured by the Alternative Fuels Data Center, a division of the Energy Department.”

The AP then cited the unwillingness of Americans to buy electric vehicles as a major reason for this delay, claiming that “driving range anxiety is still an impediment, along with cost. About 80% of respondents cited concerns about a lack of charging stations as a reason not to buy an electric vehicle, according to a 2023 survey from the Associated Press-NORC Center for Public Affairs Research and the Energy Policy Institute at the University of Chicago.”

“Seven in 10 said they would not buy an EV because it takes too long to charge and the battery technology isn’t ready,” the report continued.

Americans do not want electric vehicles

Studies show that the vast majority of Americans do not want electric vehicles.

Yet, Joe Biden and his cronies across the nation seem determined to make this pipe dream a reality, regardless of the cost.

Many economists fear that this determination to switch Americans over to electric vehicles will cost taxpayers billions of dollars without them seeing any noticeable return on their investment.
