This Nebraska teacher just shocked the nation after getting caught red-handed
Every year, thousands of young teachers enter the classroom in order to shape young minds for the better.
Unfortunately, some teachers develop sinister desires, even if they entered teaching with good intentions.
Last weekend, officials at Burke High School in Omaha, Nebraska, caught a 45-year-old substitute teacher named Erin Ward in a state of undress with an underage student.
The act occurred in the back of her husband’s car at the end of a road in the early morning hours.
After authorities caught the two in the act, the young student fled the scene.
As it stands, Ward faces one count of felony sexual abuse by a school employee, which carries a 20-year maximum sentence in the state of Nebraska.
Her bail was set at a whopping $25,000.
According to the Daily Mail, Ward has three children and a husband with some impressive credentials.
On Tuesday, the Daily Mail reported that, “Her husband, 53-year-old William Douglas ‘Doug’ Ward, is a Harvard-educated deputy at the Department of Defense. Doug was appointed Deputy Director of the Commander’s Action Group and Senior Nuclear Deterrence Advisor at the United States Strategic Command in February.”
The report added that, “His LinkedIn shows he worked with the Strategic Command since 2005 and initially served as a Deputy Branch Chief. The Strategic Command, which is headquartered in Omaha, is a military unit that detects and deters attacks against the country and its allies. In addition to his impressive job title, Doug graduated from the Harvard Extension School in 2021 with a master’s degree in political science and government.”
Burke High School principal Darren Rasmussen released a statement that said, “We are writing to share that law enforcement has arrested a metro-area substitute teacher for inappropriate conduct with a minor. The individual worked at Burke High several days during the 2023-24 school year. They will not be returning to our school or any others in our district.”
He added that, “Our top priority is always the safety and well-being of the students we serve. We take this most seriously. Counselors will be available on Tuesday for students in need of support.”

The case involving Erin Ward and her alleged abuse of a student demonstrates that groomers exist in school houses all over the country.
Not only did Ward allegedly abuse a minor, but she also distracted him from focusing on school work, which should be a priority for young people at that age.
