Biden putting women in danger with abortion drugs
Biden’s Food and Drug Administration (FDA) removed the safeguards for the chemical abortion drug mifepristone in order to make it easier for them to be distributed.
That’s because the Biden administration is hell-bent on keeping abortion on demand going.
The FDA changed the rules to allow for mifepristone to be used to terminate a pregnancy at seven weeks even though it was only tested for safety at 10 weeks.
The normal rule-making process was violated to promote more abortions.
This risky change ignored safety and put women at risk.
Biden FDA sued over chemical abortion drug push
The U.S. Supreme Court is hearing a challenge from the conservative Christian legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF) against the FDA’s risky decision to change the rules on chemical abortion drugs.
ADF is representing four medical associations and four physicians who allege that the FDA illegally gutted safety standards to promote chemical abortion drugs.
The lawsuit accuses the FDA of “unlawfully removing crucial safety standards for pregnant women who use the abortion drugs mifepristone and misoprostol.”
The ADF claimed that the FDA eliminated “nearly all” mandatory safety standards “that ensured women and girls had ongoing medical care while taking these high-risk drugs.”
Safety standards, like requiring follow-up visits after the drugs were used to check for internal bleeding or infections, were eliminated.
“The FDA’s job is to keep people safe, but the agency betrayed women and girls by ending these safety standards and encouraging at-home abortions without ongoing care from a doctor. What’s more, the FDA took these reckless actions while acknowledging that roughly one in 25 women who take these drugs will end up in the emergency room,” ADF stated in the lawsuit.
Democrats and their media allies claim that chemical abortion drugs are as safe as taking a vitamin.
They’re willing to put women at risk to keep the abortion industry afloat.
